Publisher’s Weekly has just released their review of the new Robert Whitlow novel, Water’s Edge. Here is what they had to say:
Robert Whitlow. Thomas Nelson, $15.99 trade paper (400p) ISBN 978-1-59554-451-3
Christy Award–winning Whitlow (Greater Love) is a lawyer who knows his profession, as his newest legal thriller shows. Tom Crane is a hotshot young Atlanta lawyer who thinks he’s about to become partner. Instead he gets pink-slipped, and dumped by his girlfriend, giving him lots of time to close out the smalltown law practice of his late father, who died in a boating accident. Circumstances slowly suggest that his father’s death was not an accident; a second man who died in the boating accident has a beautiful daughter interested in the truth behind her father’s death, and she’s also an evangelical Christian. Characterizations are plausible, the mystery develops at a good pace, and the villain’s a surprise. The Christian elements are heavy but not sappy; their centrality in the story will limit the potential audience to those already in sympathy with Christian fiction requirements. It’s welcome relief nonetheless to have Christian fiction that doesn’t center on romance, and Whitlow is certainly a competent writer. (Aug.)

I have read all your books and just finished Waters Edge, I couldn’t put it down. You’ve certainly been blessed with a remarkable
talent. Thank you for using that talent.
I started reading Water’s Edge yesterday & could NOT put it down. I wanted to savor this book but sped through it because it is so good. I’ve read all Robert Whitlow’s books & each one is the BEST! This one just stayed with me & intrigued me.Want my friends to read it so we can have discussions about it! Excellent! Wish we got new books from Mr. Whitlow more often! Love how he allows God to move! What a blessing!!!!
My husband love you books! Please let us know when your next book/books will be coming out. Thanks Diane and Tim
Jimmy’s ending as published was right on the mark. “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil… for Thou art with me.” The pain, darkness and evil of this world can only touch us for a but speck of time in the unending span of eternity. However indelible it may feel, it is all only temporary. His parent’s response in choosing to love and give again despite their terrible loss is Jimmy’s beautiful and magnificent legacy. The light of God’s perfect love – that was portrayed so touchingly within him – can never be extinguished, but reigns victorious – even in the often terrible valley of darkness on this side. My favorite by far Robert – thank you!
Great issues altogether, you just gained a new reader. What may you suggest in regards to your submit that you simply made some days in the past? Any certain?
