Move over, John Grisham! Now we get a suspenseful courtroom drama, engaging characters, an enthralling plot and a real-life look at the power of a loving God all in one book!

A lawyer ready to die takes one final case–the trial of his life.
Attorney Kent “Mac” McClain has nothing left to live for. Nine years after the horrific accident that claimed the life of his wife and two sons, he’s finally given up. His empty house a mirror for his empty soul, it seems suicide is his only escape. And then the phone rings.
Angel Hightower, the beautiful heiress and daughter of the most powerful man in Dennison Springs, has been found dead at the bottom of a ravine. The accused killer, Peter Thomason, needs a lawyer. But Mac has come up against the Hightowers and their ruthless, high-powered lawyers before–an encounter that left his practice and reputation reeling.
The evidence pointing to Thomason’s guilt seems insurmountable. Is Mac defending an ingenious psychopath, or has Thomason been framed–possibly by a member of the victim’s family? It comes down to one last trial. For Thomason, the opponent is the electric chair. For Mac, it is his own tormented past–a foe that will prove every bit as deadly.![]()

really want to see this movie, I love all of Whitlows books
I visited this website to see when the next exciting thriller was to be available. Wow! Prayers are answered. I so enjoy Whitlow’s gift and can’t wait to read this next book.
Just saw The Trial. WOW – thank you so much Robert Whitlow for making such a wonderful movie; and expressing on screen the HOPE that only our Lord can give. Want to see The List next. Keep producing these Christian films. May God continue to bless your work.
A fantastic and deeply moving movie for youth and adults. You might consider getting a groups of friends together to watch it. Could be a good fellowship event for a neighborhood including inviting unchurched folk. Might consider a good Christian movie and activities for children in another room.

Robert, all of your books have been a blessing to me.
Can’t wait to see this movie.
Love to your whole family. You guys are awesome.
I also visited to see when his next book was coming out. I read one book and I purchased every single one and have read all of them. As I read them, I picture them as movies, so I’m glad to see this is finally happening.
You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The arena hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. At all times go after your heart.
I just found this site! What fun! I wonder if we’re related!?
Will there be a third book to the Santee Series? I loved the first two and want to see if there is a conclusion in the lives of the Baxters. Plus, I lived in South Carolina and love to revisit there in his books.
My second one and as an attorney and Christian, I am hooked. May God continue to bless you.
