The Trial

Move over, John Grisham! Now we get a suspenseful courtroom drama, engaging characters, an enthralling plot and a real-life look at the power of a loving God all in one book!

A lawyer ready to die takes one final case–the trial of his life.

Attorney Kent “Mac” McClain has nothing left to live for. Nine years after the horrific accident that claimed the life of his wife and two sons, he’s finally given up. His empty house a mirror for his empty soul, it seems suicide is his only escape. And then the phone rings.
Angel Hightower, the beautiful heiress and daughter of the most powerful man in Dennison Springs, has been found dead at the bottom of a ravine. The accused killer, Peter Thomason, needs a lawyer. But Mac has come up against the Hightowers and their ruthless, high-powered lawyers before–an encounter that left his practice and reputation reeling.
The evidence pointing to Thomason’s guilt seems insurmountable. Is Mac defending an ingenious psychopath, or has Thomason been framed–possibly by a member of the victim’s family? It comes down to one last trial. For Thomason, the opponent is the electric chair. For Mac, it is his own tormented past–a foe that will prove every bit as deadly.

Just saw The Trial. WOW – thank you so much Robert Whitlow for making such a wonderful movie; and expressing on screen the HOPE that only our Lord can give. Want to see The List next. Keep producing these Christian films. May God continue to bless your work.

  4. A fantastic and deeply moving movie for youth and adults. You might consider getting a groups of friends together to watch it. Could be a good fellowship event for a neighborhood including inviting unchurched folk. Might consider a good Christian movie and activities for children in another room.

I also visited to see when his next book was coming out. I read one book and I purchased every single one and have read all of them. As I read them, I picture them as movies, so I’m glad to see this is finally happening.

  7. You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The arena hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. At all times go after your heart.

Will there be a third book to the Santee Series? I loved the first two and want to see if there is a conclusion in the lives of the Baxters. Plus, I lived in South Carolina and love to revisit there in his books.

My second one and as an attorney and Christian, I am hooked. May God continue to bless you.

I just finished reading this book and it is the first book I have read by Whitlow. I am from a very small town in South Georgia much like the one in this book. Also, I recently got married and then my husband was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. I didn’t know this was a religous book when I got it from a book sale at the library, but it was what I needed. My husband is going to die, but reading how McClain in the book came to find happiness again helped me. My husband has about 6 months or so to live and we have been enjoying it the best we can. I never really believed in the soul mate thing until I met my husband and I hate the thought of life without him. This book has given me an insight that I needed and I will be reading many more books by Whitlow as soon as I can get a hold of them.

  14. Skype has opened its web-based customer beta on the world, after establishing it generally
within the United states and You.K. earlier this month.
Skype for Website also now facilitates Chromebook and Linux for immediate messaging communication (no voice and video nevertheless,
    these demand a plug-in installment).

The expansion from the beta brings support for
an extended listing of different languages to help you reinforce that global user friendliness
