Life Support

Robert Whitlow’s “Life Support” is a legal thriller-and it’s one with a Christian emphasis. But I’d easily put this legal thriller up against some of the best the secular publishing world has to offer. “Life Support” is just that good.

Santee, Book 1 of 2

How can Attorney Alexia Lindale support the wishes of her client when the goal is a near-certain death?

Baxter Richardson epitomizes the American dream: good looking, wealthy, and recently married to a beautiful woman. But when Baxter plunges off a cliff and onto the rocks below, his life and the lives of those around him are forever changed.

Bright young attorney Alexia Lindale never knew Baxter. But she knows the law. And she’s used to winning. As a prominent local divorce lawyer, she’s used to the men of Santee, South Carolina cringing when their soon-to-be ex-wives hire her. But then her firm assigns her to Rena Richardson and Alexia’s life turns upside down.

Rena doesn’t want a divorce. She wants to unplug her husband, Baxter, from life support, claiming its what Baxter would have wanted. But Baxter’s father is threatening to legally override Rena.

Everyone involved has ulterior motives. Yet God has higher plans. Filled with legal twists, deep questions about life and death, and truly memorable characters, this fast-paced, two-part series delivers a story that will stay with you long after the last page.

Reader Quotes

In “Life Support,” Robert Whitlow tells a story both simple and serpentine, both vicious and full of grace.Reader

He grabs his reader in the first chapter with an amazing plot twist before you can settle into your easy chair. He has certainly earned his reputation as the “John Grisham of the Christian market” (Publishers Weekly).Reader

I just read Life Support and Life Everlasting for the 2nd time. I really enjoyed both books, but felt that the story is unfinished. Are there plans for a 3rd book in this series?

Was so enjoying this story and realized that when I got to the end, there were 8 pages missing from the copy of the book I had received… oh no… I so want to know the end of the story… so bummed.

What a great book. I was disappointed that there was no book three for Alex Lindale! The suspense and author’s character development are well worth wading through the pages that don’t make sense until later in the novel. The description of the power of a pianist to worship and bring others to the throne of God, made me wish the story was non-fiction so I could hear the pianist for myself.
What a God-given gift Robert Whitlow possesses. I praise the Lord for empowering Whitlow to “Show, Not Tell” the experience of meeting and growing to know God.
